About the conference > The organising organisms

EURODOC: the European Council of PhD students and young researchers is a federation of 30 national organisations working in Europe to represent the young researchers' community (+1 million). Eurodoc acts on research policies in Europe through its interactions with various stakeholders including the Council of Europe and the European Union including the European Commission and the European Parliament; but also other stakeholders representing universities and research organisations such as the Association of Universities in Europe, the League of Research Universities in Europe, Science Europe... Through its experts, Eurodoc is an observer member of the Bologna Process, its experts are also part of various projects and advisory boards of research policy projects in open science, scientific integrity, mobility in research, gender equality and other themes.

CJC: the confederation of young researchers is the only organisation which acts at the scale of France for the representation of young researchers in France. It is a founding member of Eurodoc and an active member of its administration. It brings together about forty associations of doctoral candidates and doctors in non-permanent employment, who volunteer their time to promote the doctorate and its recognition as a professional experience. At the national level, through its expertise on doctoral studies, it acts as a privileged interlocutor for the public authorities (Government, Parliament, National Council for Higher Education and Research, etc.) and any structure wishing to discuss the subject (associations, companies, trade unions, etc.)

ADDAL, AJC06 and StrasAIR: the Association of Doctoral Candidates and Doctors of Alsace, the Association of Young Researchers of the Alpes Maritimes and the Association of International Researchers of Strasbourg are three active members of the CJC, sharing the values and modes of action of the CJC. They are based in Nice and Strasbourg, and work together to promote doctoral studies, the skills of doctors and the career development of young researchers. They are represented in the central councils of their universities. Through this event, they wish to strengthen the links between the YRs of Nice and Strasbourg and to bring out new areas of cooperation.
